Are you over 55 and regularly care for a family member or friend?

If so, you may benefit from a new wellbeing system that NetwellCASALA, the Research Centre for Ageing at DkIT have designed to support carers.

Michael Wilson, one of our researchers, is working with Ann Marron from the HSE to test this system and we would really appreciate your help. We need 5 people to trial it for 8 weeks in February.

For the 8 weeks you will be given

  • An iPad with a stress management app on it to help you manage your stress and improve your wellbeing.

  • A sleep and step sensor watch which helps you to measure how much sleep you are getting and how many steps you are taking each day.

  • Blood pressure cuff to monitor your blood pressure daily.

The system has been designed to be easy to use and quick to complete and it aims to help you to monitor your wellbeing. Making some small changes in your life could help you to manage stress and to improve your wellbeing.

You can participate from your home and all of the information gathered will be totally anonymous. The system will be fully explained to you and you will be supported throughout with any questions you may have. You can opt out of the trial at any time.

If you are interested in getting involved, please contact either Ann Marron ann.marron@hse.ie or Michael Wilson michael.wilson@dkit.ie or contact us at NetwellCASALA on 042 9370497.

Thank you for taking the time to read this mail.
